Matches made in medicine

It’s one of the most highly anticipated moments of their lives. And this year, on March 15 – in simultaneous ceremonies all across the U.S. – medical students marked the transition from classroom to clinic as they learned where they’ll serve their residencies. At UC Irvine, 99 future physicians “matched”: with 70 staying in California, 44 remaining in the University of California system and 22 right at UC Irvine. Drop in on some magical moments documented in this video from Match Day 2024 as the soon-to-be M.D.s rejoice with friends and family.
